novum and the environment

We don't inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
Native American proverb
Paper is an elemental component in our lives – whether as a newspaper, coffee filter, stationery, or the page of a book. The primary material in paper production is cellulose fiber, which is sourced from the wood of trees and therefore makes paper a natural product.
Novum publishing house is committed to acting in an ecologically, environmentally-friendly manner in order to promote the sustainability of this important resource. In recent years, climate change and the resulting global warming mean that the average temperature of the Earth’s air and oceans has increased. Therefore, it is crucial to take measures to reduce CO2 emissions. We are making an active contribution to climate protection. The measures we take relate to novum publishing’s in-house production, as well as to the production processes of our suppliers. The paper used by our publishing house is produced with consideration for our carbon footprint. Our aim is to create CO2 awareness and to avoid, reduce and offset CO2 emissions.
Additionally, we work together with ClimatePartner to participate in climate-protection projects. The CO2 emissions of our printers are calculated and the emissions are offset by supporting various climate protection projects.
Due to the installation of a photovoltaic system, we are able to produce the majority of our own electricity requirements for our office and print shop.
Preserving nature is expensive, the cost of not preserving it is a price too high to pay.
