David Murrell FCA
David Murrell FCA was born in Minehead, Somerset, in 1946. He was educated at Taunton School between 1956 and 1961, passing sufficient O’levels to train to be a local Chartered Accountant . He passed the necessary examinations to qualify and soon after he joined what is now KPMG in their London office in 1964. He was appointed a London office partner in 1981. He subsequently joined the worldwide board of KPMG and later became chairman of both the Worldwide Media and Entertainment Practice and Worldwide Marketing. In 2000, he left KPMG and joined the board of the Stock Exchange listed Chrysalis Music and Television Group and the Cinema and Television Benelovent Fund and supported other numerous charities. Murrell is a keen golfer, and has played in numerous continents, and continues to be a racehorse owner. His book shows how he became one of the best-known Chartered Accountants in the worldwide Media and Entertainment industry.
