David Lawson
Coming from a half-Scottish background but proclaiming to be 100% Yorkshire, the author, David, was born in 1960 in Mirfield, Yorkshire, growing up with his mum and three sisters. He attended Wheelwright Grammar School for Boys and had a 40-year career in textiles, from being an apprentice through to working as a Commercial Director. David has four children, from two different marriages, and he married Alison, his second wife, in 2015. He has seven grandchildren, two girls and five boys. All these wonderful people are the most important in his life! David’s other loves and interests, besides his family, are music, painting, reading, cricket, and rugby. Until he became poorly, he loved to wear beautiful fabrics, from woollen tweed to £4,000 Savile Row suits.
'4 figs' is David’s first publication.
