D. W. Bradley
D. W. Bradley has lived in North Yorkshire for over thirty years but was born in 1950 in Lincoln, where he spent his childhood. After failing his eleven-plus exams, he transferred to a grammar school at the age of twelve and was selected for a place at the National Youth Theatre. He went on to train in drama at Bretton Hall, a prestigious institution for budding performers and teachers. Bradley found his niche teaching drama and was a secondary school headteacher for twenty years. His passions include the theatre, cricket, lecturing and performing, and directing and leading performing groups. His flair for creative writing is channelled into the sketches and plays he wrote for performing students. D. W. Bradley has a daughter, who lives in France with her husband and two children. William Bradley’s Handcart is the author's first published work.
