Thought provoking “Poems and Thoughts” for renewed thinking. To lift the spirit and the mind, to accept the self - to read and develop the mind.
In the still of the midnight sky …
There’s a quietness and peace …
People have found time to reflect
People have time to be quiet …
It’s a time …
When we could look up into velvet night sky …
Be amazed at the Creator’s brush
in the still of the midnight sky.

***

It’s the essence of life …
To tidy the soul, the mind, the body …
To tidy the facets of the soul, is to allow it to breathe …
So, we can align our mind and body.

***

O room inside of me which is sad …
Where evil dwells if I allow …
When I go into the room of my soul …
It is where God’s honour dwelleth,
And the light shines brightly –
Where happiness reigns.

***

It is sad …
When we make people feel less
Instead of making them feel more …
It is sad …
For the giver …
It is insecurity for the giver,
when we make people feel less
What a beautiful feeling,
When we make them feel more.

***

What emotions stir within us …
When we are confronted by a friend’s talent?
It is envy, jealousy, and a feeling of inadequacy
We will develop and grow if only we could accept and share
in the joy of talents …

***

Energy …
Energy we feel through feelings and spirit
Energy of love – how warm
Energy of hate – how passionate
Energy of sadness – how tearful
Energy of joy – how happy and tearful
Energy of quietness – how peaceful
Energy of power – how fearful
Energy of disrespect – how sad
Energy of unconditional love; God’s love.

***

Humming bird …
What has thou brought?
Flying through my open window,
settling on the window sill,
Humming bird – song from our creator
Humming bird …
Don’t be afraid, shivering in fright
It’s a place, where our creator dwelleth.

***

What sadness we bring upon each other …
With a controlling power –
we impose our thoughts on each other …
What thoughts are these that we share?
Is it envy?
Is it jealousy? Or just acknowledgement?
No! No! It is love – it is acceptance
It is peace with one another.

***

O Soul …
Where art thou?
Since thou have left this earth?
Have you been bound by a controlling spirit?
Are you free as the free spirit we have been given?
Soul, oh give and move on lest …
Lest the soul be bound by the baggage of the mind.

***

‘Tis a good thing to be humble and lowly …
‘Tis a place where the senses are sharp
and the vision clear.
One perceives the lowly and the great in stature
and strength.
‘Tis comfortable down here …
One perceives every facet of the Great and lowly …
‘Tis nurturing to learn from the great and lowly!
