Anna Ghizzani
Born in the Medieval heart of Tuscany, Anna Ghizzani moved to Florence to attend high school and became fascinated with the art of Renaissance. Graduating in modern languages shaped her interest in history and cultures.
Fascinated by scientific thinking she attended medical school developing an interest in reproduction and prevention. This is why she became an Ob/Gyn.
After residency, she got involved in the medical aspects of sexuality, which brought her to attend the Sex Therapy Program at Cornell Medical Center and the Human Sexuality Program at Mt. Sinai Hospital, in NYC.
Clinical work, research and teaching at the State Medical School in Siena have often combined Sexual Medicine and Ob/Gyn expertise, focusing on health issues and sexual dysfunctions for men and women.
Her main professional interest is in the field of sexuality for men and women, couples’ issues, sexual pain, disorders of the lower genital tract and menopause.
