Brian Hignett was born in Liverpool, England, towards the end of the Second World War. After succeeding in gaining a scholarship to a local grammar school, Hignett went on to study law at the University of Manchester. Hignett has spent his life working within the legal system. Always keen to write, his work as a barrister has not allowed him the time to pursue this dream. Now in retirement, Brian is free to put his thoughts and feelings down on paper. In this, his debut publication, Brian has written a book of free-form poetry.
