Born in Washington D.C. in 1951, Ian Richardson was educated at Highgate School and the University of Southampton. He spent most of his career in the UK civil service, including HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office, dealing with financial matters. Since retiring, he has had more time to enjoy his favourite activities of choral singing and folk dancing and has also turned his hand to writing with this being his debut novel.
