At the end of the war, his family moved down to Kent.As a youngster in the 1950’s Sean took jobs which allowed him to continue playing the jazz trombone in the evenings not giving much thought to the future. Between 1972 and 1975 Sean trained as teacher. He taught in a county primary junior school until his retirement in 1996 at the age of 60.
